ABOUT THE C.D.M. REGULATIONS

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 impose statutory Health and Safety duties on Clients, Designers, and Contractors with the aim of  reducing  accidents, ill health and increasing safety awareness in  the construction industry.

The legislation introduces a role of "CDM Coordinator" who has responsibility for co-ordinating the Health and Safety aspects throughout the project.

Further guidance is available from Farrar Bamforth Associates  Ltd. or is available in "A Guide to Managing Health and  Safety in Construction" published by the Health and Safety  Executive.
